HEATHER M. SNEDDON, Shareholder
Heather M. Sneddon graduated from Brown University in 1999 with an A.B. in Religious Studies. Returning to Utah, she graduated from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law in 2002. While in law school, she served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Sandra N. Peuler of the Third District Court, and as a law clerk for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Division of Enforcement. Ms. Sneddon joined Anderson & Karrenberg in April 2003, and became a shareholder in January 2008. She practices in both state and federal court, is admitted to practice before the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and serves on the Executive Committee of the Utah State Bar Litigation Section.
Combining sound strategy and zealous advocacy with a healthy dose of pragmatism, Ms. Sneddon has consistently achieved creative, cost-effective solutions for her clients. In over nine years of practice as a commercial litigator, Ms. Sneddon has successfully represented both individuals and businesses in a variety of complex cases, including contract, intellectual property and real estate disputes, professional malpractice matters, shareholder derivative lawsuits and the prosecution and defense of all manner of business torts. Ms. Sneddon has also served as co-counsel for plaintiffs in national class action litigation pertaining to consumer fraud and deceptive trade practices, as well as local counsel for countless out-of-state attorneys.
In addition, Ms. Sneddon has represented a local, professional artist in connection with installations and performances at the University of Utah and The Leonardo sci+tech+art museum, and is expanding her practice in the areas of performing and visual arts. As an avid supporter of the arts, Ms. Sneddon presently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Salt Lake Acting Company, and the Boards of Directors for Dance Theatre Coalition and Utah Lawyers for the Arts.
