Francis J. Carney

Frank Carney is a graduate of the George Washington University School of Law (1978) and of Boston College (1974). Listed in "The Best Lawyers in America" for many years, he is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and an Associate of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He is a well-known speaker on trial techniques, civil procedure, and medical malpractice issues. Mr. Carney is an "AV" rated lawyer under the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings.
He is a member of the Supreme Court's Advisory Committee on the Rules of Civil Procedure and the Advisory Committee on Model Utah Civil Jury Instructions. He is co-chair of the State Bar's Character and Fitness Committee, and is a member of the State Bar's Admissions Committee. Mr. Carney's practice focused on medical malpractice and personal injury litigation for twenty-eight years, but he now limits his practice to mediation and arbitration.
In November 2007, the Utah State Bar presented Mr. Carney with its “Professionalism” award, given annually to a member of the Utah State Bar who represents the highest standards of fairness, integrity, and civility.
