JACOB D. BARNEY

Jake is a Shareholder at Anderson & Karrenberg, and an experienced litigator and trial attorney. He has successfully represented clients—from large international corporations to individuals—in administrative, arbitration, and state and federal court proceedings. He has assisted clients across a variety of industries and practice areas, including construction, commercial and residential real estate, contract matters, partnership and LLC disputes, professional liability, medical malpractice, insurance coverage, employment law, trade secret misappropriation, trademark, fraud, and other general business matters.

Jake focuses on what is best for his clients, whether that is a resolution before litigation or taking a case through trial and appeal. He has a proven track record of obtaining dismissals, judgments, and other favorable results for his clients. Most recently, Jake successfully obtained preliminary injunctive relief on behalf of a national finance company to prevent former employees from improperly soliciting clients and employees. He obtained a favorable judgment at arbitration on behalf of a contractor relating to work on a new home construction project. Jake also successfully obtained a critical order of insurance coverage under a contested insurance policy on behalf of a commercial client, including dismissal of all of the insurer’s claims.
